The Vision Pavilion pays tribute to the leadership of His Royal Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh of Dubai. It details His Highness’s life, showcasing his early years and dedication to learning, his core passions and values, and depicts Dubai’s evolution over the past 30 years from the desert sands to the world’s tallest building.
The design was carried out by the Seville-based company Icaria Atelier, while Cuellar Stone was able to translate all these magnificent designs into natural stone, bringing to life one of the most highly rated pavilions at the International Exhibition and awarded as the best Pavilion of less than 1,200 square meters at the entire Dubai Expo 2020.
The pavilion consists of three galleries, featuring two monumental sculptures carved from natural stone located in two of the rooms. One of the rooms features an imposing relief of a falcon with outstretched wings, occupying three of the walls. The falcon carving is made from large pieces of limestone, some measuring up to 30 centimeters thick. The entire rest of the room, both flooring and cladding, is made of limestone.
